Adresse: Oder via Fax: ---------------------------------------- Dear Mrs. Napolitano, While it is not my intention to raise the issue of the pro and contra with regard to the death penalty, I would, however, like to urge you to personally review the merits in the case of Debra Jean Milke. It is absolutely obvious that most factors raised in the recently publicized study of the Columbia University apply in the above case. There is not a shred of factual evidence, which would link Ms. Milke to the crime for which she was sentenced to death in a "rush trial". The entire case was based on personal speculations and hearsay - just to list a few issues. After your election into this high office, you have "inherited" this case and, most likely, it is being administered further by your staff attorneys. It is in your hands to take a personal look at pleadings. To admit judicial error would be courageous, but the only morally acceptable step in the Debra Milke case. Proper justice applied should be the first and foremost issue to give credence to you as an elected official with unbiased standards. May your conscience be your guide. Very respectfully yours, |
